Ozzy Osbourne’s Former Bandmates Spill The Truth About Working With Him | I Love Classic Rock Videos

Ozzy Osbourne has been thrilling metal fans for more than five decades, earning him the “Prince of Darkness.” His music, whether with Black Sabbath or as a solo artist, has become ubiquitous in heavy metal and is often considered to be among the best of its kind.

Osbourne has not, however, accomplished this feat single-handedly. Innumerable musicians have performed with him or contributed to his legacy by shaping his music or recording with him. Some of his bandmates share their thoughts on his work ethic and personality off-camera, in this video presented by the YouTube channel, Grunge.

Among the well-known people involved in the video who shared a thing or two about Ozzy were his old Black Sabbath bandmates: Geezer Butler, Tommy Iommi, and Bill Ward. The quartet has had a well-documented love-and-hate relationship that’s perfectly normal, if we’re asked, given the rock industry is full of dramas from several celebrities. Luckily, they’ve sorted it out (we hope so!) and in 2017, they embarked on a Black Sabbath reunion that was full of emotions that even the bandmates couldn’t help but give praise to one another.

Moreover, post-Black Sabbath, we have his band members who helped him pave the legacy he has right now as a metal icon: Randy Rhoads, Bob Daisley, Zakk Wylde, and even the newer members: Adam Wakeman, Rob “Blasko” Nicholson, Tommy Clufetos, and a lot more. Ozzy, apart from being a metal figure, was also good at making people laugh. Zakk Wylde was quoted in an interview, saying: “With Oz, it’s a miracle any work ever gets done … All’s you gotta do is hang out with him for, like, five minutes, you’ll be on the floor crying,” he explained. “Because he’s always taking the p*** out of himself and or whatever else is going on in the world. He’s the best. If he wasn’t this legendary frontman and singer and everything like that, he’d have to do stand-up.”
