Lots of outpouring love were given to the late Fleetwood Mac singer, Christine McVie. Family, friends, and bandmates mourned the loss of this legend, who was an icon and a genuine person that everyone truly loved. Former Fleetwood Mac guitarist, Lindsey Buckingham, remembered McVie in a heartfelt message he penned for her via Instagram.

The handwritten letter reads: “Christine McVie’s sudden passing is profoundly heartbreaking. Not only were she and I part of the magical family of Fleetwood Mac, to me Christine was a musical comrade, a friend, a soul mate, a sister.”

“For over four decades, we helped each other create a beautiful body of work and a lasting legacy that continues to resonate today,” the letter continues. “I feel very lucky to have known her. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on through that body of work and that legacy.”

McVie died on the 30th of November 2022, aged 79, from a brief illness that was not disclosed to the public. Fellow Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks also shared her touching tribute, calling McVie her “best friend in the whole world.”

Buckingham and McVie crossed paths when the guitarist joined the band along with his then-girlfriend, Stevie Nicks. With the addition of Buckingham-Nicks, Fleetwood Mac achieved massive stardom with albums such as Rumours, Tusk, Mirage, and several FM classics such as “Dreams,” “The Chain,” “Tusk,” etc.
