Fans of Don Felder got a scare during his performance on the Rock Legends Cruise when the former Eagles guitarist, 77, suddenly became unsteady while playing “Tequila Sunrise.” The cruise, which set sail from Miami on February 13, featured an all-star lineup including Alice Cooper, Styx, and Foghat. Felder had been delivering a strong set, playing classic Eagles hits like “One of These Nights” and “Peaceful Easy Feeling.”

However, as he moved toward the microphone for his seventh song, Felder appeared visibly unwell, stumbling slightly before medical personnel rushed to assist him. He had to be helped offstage, leaving the audience concerned.

Dehydration to Blame

Following the incident, worried fans flooded social media with messages of concern. One Instagram user asked, “Are you feeling better sir?” while another wrote, “Don, are you feeling better? I saw the video and I am very worried about you.”

Felder’s team quickly reassured everyone, explaining that he had suffered from dehydration. “We appreciate everyone’s concern regarding Don Felder’s abrupt stop to his show last night on the Rock Legends Cruise,” they posted on his Instagram Stories.

“After receiving medical attention he was deemed to be suffering from dehydration. He was given fluids, and is feeling much better.”

Felder Plans to Return to the Stage

Per cruise line health regulations, Felder had to remain in quarantine for 24 hours to rest and rehydrate. His manager later confirmed, “Arrangements are being made for him to play on Saturday and Sunday.”

The Rock Legends Cruise runs through February 17, and Felder’s schedule remains packed. He has performances lined up in March and April, followed by a nationwide tour with Styx and Kevin Cronin in May for the Brotherhood of Rock tour.

For now, Felder is taking the necessary time to recover. His team even left fans with a friendly reminder:

“Thank you for your understanding, and remember – drink your water!”
