Farm Aid 2021 made its comeback last September 25, and the event couldn’t be more than what’s expected: a series of highlights from a sold-out event for the organization that helps farmers.

The event, which is founded back in 1985, exists to give annual assistance to farmers who are in dire need of funds. It is founded by three prominent artists: Willie Nelson, Neil Young, and John Mellencamp and includes different sets of musicians who would perform and raise money for the organization’s benefit.

The concert this year was held in Hartford, CT. Young didn’t come due to the threat of Covid, however, his absence is not at all felt as various singers decided to cover some of his songs such as “After the Gold Rush” (played by the band Particle Kid) and “Homegrown” (played by Margo Price, Micah, and Lukas Nelson).

While the highlights flooded the event and were too many to mention, one particular moment worth noting was during Willie Nelson’s iconic set that was far longer than most of any musician present. He’s the closing performer; therefore, people are looking forward to seeing him perform on-stage. The 88-year-old singer didn’t disappoint; singing his classics “You Were Always on My Mind,” “On the Road Again,” and “Georgia On My Mind,” no one could ask for a better closing event than this!
