We’ve seen plenty of legendary collaborations in music, but perhaps nothing could compare to the time when Buddy Guy teamed up with none other than B.B King for a fantastic rendition of “I Can’t Quit You Baby.”

The performance was recorded at BB King’s Blues Club in Memphis on December 10th & 11th back in the year 1993. Guy handled the main vocals and guitar, while the legendary King went with his usual lead guitar duties that could hypnotize you for its impending greatness. Both artists seem to enjoy the said performance, as evident in their grinning faces; and the fact that they’re doing this not just for the clout, but for the truth that they’re just jamming their hearts out to this great song.

“I Can’t Quit You Baby” is a song written by Willie Dixon, and first recorded by blues artist Otis Rush. The song details the penalties of an adulterous relationship, and how the man cannot instantly quit it. The song served as Cobra Records’ debut single, which, coincidentally, become Rush’s first-ever hit as well. The song became a classic blues staple throughout the years, with numerous artists re-recording their versions of this track. Some of the well-known renditions of this gem were from Led Zeppelin and Rolling Stones.

Listen and be mesmerized by the performance delivered by these blues icons in the video presented below.
