Good news for Dylan fans! The trailer for Martin Scorsese’s documentary of Bob Dylan’s 1975 tour, both named Rolling Thunder Revue, is up for watching now. Dylan is seen referring to the tour as a “catastrophe” in the new sneak peek release.

Backed by streaming giant Netflix, the Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese is scheduled to be released on the 12th of June, after a limited theatrical release on the day prior to the Netflix schedule.

Clips from the trailer has Dylan saying, “The tour was a catastrophe. It wasn’t a success, not if you measure success in terms of profit.” The tour was noted to feature Dylan in makeup and masks, with him humoring, “we didn’t have enough masks on that tour.”

Netflix describes the documentary, “Setting out across a 1975 America exhausted politically, economically and socially, a busload of musicians – assembled by Bob Dylan – hits the road in search of new creative horizons,” The statement continues, “The resulting tour, the Rolling Thunder Revue, would reveal a Dylan rarely seen: playful, mask-wearing, intense, expansive, rejuvenated.”

With the film’s release, a 14-disc box set of recordings from the Rolling Thunder Revue tour, along with five full-length performances, is expected to launch on the 7th of June. Watch the documentary trailer by clicking on the video below!
