New Material Is Included In Upcoming Jethro Tull Book

The iconic British rock act Jethro Tull will be immortalized in a new medium, with the impending release of a new book, The Ballad Of Jethro Tull, late this year in November. The book will be chronicling the band’s 50 year history, along with the release of newly-recorded material.

Frontman Ian Anderson has initially described the book as “the definitive Jethro Tull story – as told by Jethro Tull,” in last year’s announcement of it being in the works. With author Mark Blake working closely with Anderson to put together the story with as much engagement and authenticity, the book has also seen contribution from former bandmates, and will feature untold personal stories, rare photographs, and archived press clippings.

The Ballad Of Jethro Tull is expected to hit shelves by November, though a final date is still in discussion. The book will be offered in Classic and Signature editions, with the latter featuring a 7 inch record with dedicated material in it, and a poem of the same title narrated by Anderson himself, with a backing track that is a unique mix of classic Tull music. The Signature edition is also limited to 500 production copies.
