The Stones are one of the latest bands to postpone their touring plans amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

The North American leg of their 2020 No Filter Tour was supposed to commence on May 8 in San Diego and end in Atlanta on the 9th of July but has been postponed indefinitely since then. In a public statement across its website and social media accounts, the band wrote: “We’re hugely disappointed to have to postpone the tour. We are sorry to all the fans who were looking forward to it as much as we were, but the health and safety of everyone has to take priority. We will all get through this together – and we’ll see you all very soon.”

This is due to the government’s instruction to restrict any kind of mass gatherings – effectively postponing or canceling major music, sporting, and cultural events as a result. AEG Presents/Concerts have informed ticket holders for the Rolling Stones shows to keep their original stubs and await further announcements for the rescheduling of dates.
