The Mamas and The Papas, a vocal supreme group who do not give up on an ordinary fight when it comes to showing off their real prowess. They started in the 1960s, labeled themselves as the “real hippie squad,” and became one of the most respected groups in the arena of folk-rock.

The quartet was composed of John Phillips, Cass Elliot, Denny Doherty, and Michelle Phillips. Together, they managed to remain on top inside the 60s decade, where the competition of bands began to arise due to the popularity of the Beatles. And they were exactly what the world wanted: distinct voices, unique personalities, and gorgeous harmonies blended all together.

Their musical work earned them a neat spot at the 1998 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to commemorate their short-lived albeit genius contributions to the industry. Unfortunately, the much-awaited reunion was a tragic one: it had been 24 years since Mama Cass died due to heart failure. The 3 remaining members honored her efforts to the group and would never be forgotten.

The Mamas and the Papas then proceeded to sing their iconic song, “California Dreamin,’” the single that brought them their fame. It was a nostalgic moment and a lot of fun as the remaining members seemed to enjoy the opportunity to share the stage once again.
