Streaming giant Netflix has recently unveiled the first stills from the Martin Scorsese-directed documentary of Bob Dulan’s 1975 Rolling Thunder Revue tour. The country icon’s documentary will be released on the 12th of June, following a prior limited theatrical release on the 11th.

Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese has been under the production mantle for years now, and is hyped as “an alchemic mix of fact and fantasy”. Previous teases have described the documentary as “part documentary, part concert film, part fever dream” and how it “captures the troubled spirit of America in 1975 and the joyous music that Dylan performed during the fall of that year.” The said tour had big names in tow with the likes of  Roger McGuinn, Joan Baez, Allen Ginsberg, Joni Mitchell and Ringo Starr, became one of Dylan’s most successful ventures over his extensive career.

Dylan and Scorsese have worked together previously in 2005, for the movie No Direction Home which talks about Dylan’s transition from folk to rock music in the 60’s, winning a Grammy for Best Long Form Video.
