In 1977, Grammy award winning artist Meat Loaf (left) set the world of music on fire with the release of ‘Bat Out Of Hell’. Once the tour for this album commenced, fans knew they were in for the ultimate treat. Every night, Karla DeVito joined Meat Loaf on stage to put on an absolute clinic in singing and showmanship. Each time that they would sing “Paradise By The Dashboard Light” fans raved about the undeniable chemistry between the two. Needless to say, Meat Loaf and Karla were a rock & roll match made in heaven.

On August 15th, 1975, ‘The Rock Horror Picture Show’ was released in theaters, and it took the cinematic world by storm. The film stars such acting greats as Tim CurrySusan SarandonBarry BostwickRichard O’Brien, and of course our very own Meat Loaf. In this film, Meat Loaf dons some very gruesome, but still very stylish movie makeup for his role as Eddie, the ex-delivery boy.

The ‘Everything Louder Tour’ was an action packed tour with hundreds of dates all over the world. On this tour, Meat Loaf truly brought out all the stops, not just with his amazing singing, but from time to time, he would even don the 6-string axe and blow the audience’s minds. With his singing ability, guitar playing ability, and overall showmanship, this is testament to the fact that there truly isn’t anything that Meat Loaf can’t do!

In 2003, Meat Loaf and the lovely Patti Russo crashed ‘Today with Des and Mel’ and put on an absolute clinic in singing and showmanship. The two performed their new smash hit “Couldn’t Have Said It Better” and left the live studio audience stunned. Just like Karla DeVito before, and Aspen Miller after, the chemistry between Meat Loaf and Patti Russo was undeniable.

The ultimate vision of Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman came into fruition on February 17, 2017 when it was announced that ‘Bat Out Of Hell’ was officially being reimagined in the form of a musical. Meat Loaf describes the whole experience as “a 40 year long dream” for Jim Steinman. To this day, the musical has been the talk of Broadway and it is being nominated for awards left and right.
