Sammy Hagar and The Circle have just canceled their upcoming South American tour “due to the escalation of the coronavirus (COVID-19).”

The supposed week-long series of shows were scheduled to commence on March 14 in Santiago, Chile, and was comprised if four stops in Brazil, including Ribeira Preto, Rio De Janeiro, Porto Alegre, and Sao Paulo.

“The decision has been made along with the local promoters in order to reduce potential health risks in response to the current global health crisis. If you have any questions regarding refunds, contact the local promoter or any of their authorized point of sales where you purchased your ticket(s),” Hagar said in a statement.

In another video, Hagar said that they will be back in the region “as soon as it gets better and as soon as we can, we will be down in South America.”

Hagar and The Circle are still planning to continue the supporting tour of 2019’s Space Between album, where they are slated to go on the road with Whitesnake for a summer US tour that will begin on July 9 at West Palm Beach, Florida.
