Metallica will be the headliner for a string of five US music festivals for 2020, as announced by promoters Danny Wimmer Presents.
Pitched by the team as “a unique collaboration unprecedented for any American festival promoter or band”, Metallica will be playing 2 separate headliner performances for these following events in 2020 for the first time ever!
Epicenter – May 1 to 3 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Charlotte, NC
Welcome To Rockville – May 8 to 1o at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, FL
Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival – May 15 to 17 at the MAPFRE Stadium in Colombus, OH
Louder Than Life – September 18 to 20 at the Highland Festival Grounds at KY Expo Center in Louisville, KY
Aftershock – October 9 to 11 at the Discovery Park in Sacramento, CA
These events are the only music festival venues where Metallica will play in the US for 2020. The band is also set to perform a unique setlist for every event, playing 10 different shows for the entire year.
Promoter Danny Wimmer says “Metallica isn’t just another headliner. When Metallica takes the stage, it’s an event. It’s an experience. That’s the same standard we’ve set for every DWP festival – from the first band to the last band, and everything that happens in between. I can’t wait to bring the biggest band in the world to the biggest rock festivals in America. Metallica paved this road that we travel.”
