Ex-Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum gives his share of home-based performance due to the recent coronavirus spread, with his own version of the rock band’s 1988 hit, “Patience”.

In the Facebook video posted on his account, Sorum said: “Here I am again with my guitar. I’m out in the backyard here in the desert. You see my palm trees. It’s getting a little chilly, so I put on this wooly hat in tribute to Izzy Stradlin, one of the writers of this next song.”

He continued, “I was very fortunate to play this with my old bandmates on this song. Obviously, I was on the drums. I’m gonna play it for you tonight on the guitar and sing it. I hope you enjoy my version. This one’s called “Patience”.”

“Patience” was part of the band’s sophomore release, “G N’ R Lies”, and became a top 10 hit in several countries, reaching 4th place on the US Billboard Hot 100. Sorum was brought on board the band in 1990 after Steven Adler was fired, being part of 1991’s Use Your Illusion and 1993’s “The Spaghetti Incident?” before leaving in 1997.
