The 2012 iHeartRadio Music Festival was one for the history books given how many highlights it served. Other than music, it was the countless stars and their performances that marked it a legendary festival by today’s standards.

From contemporary artists like Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Usher, Gwen Stefani, Psy, Pitbull, Shakira, Linkin Park, and many more to rock legends Aerosmith and Bon Jovi were present at this special event. It’s one thing that we listen to the musician’s songs, yet a whole other level awaits when we see them perform on stage.

Bon Jovi, whose half-hour performance can be seen below, didn’t shy away from performing in front of a live audience. His charisma, onstage presence and dynamic haven’t left, and it felt as though you were thrown back from the nostalgic 80s. Bon Jovi performed his classics, “Livin’ on a Prayer,” “It’s My Life,” “Dead or Alive,” (with Richie Sambora playing a double-neck guitar), and a rousing rendition to “Shout” that people were all pumped up for. Take note that the legend was 50 years old during this time, and to see him run up and about on stage may be frightening for his age, but not for his performing soul.

Take a look at Jon Bon Jovi’s performance below.
