It’s Official Folks: AC/DC Is Back

Aussie rock legends AC/DC are officially back in business. After a series of teasers upon teasers on social media hinting that the band was working on new material together and that an inevitable comeback was bound to happen, the band finally ended rumors and confirmed that they are back. AC/DC is currently comprised of Brian Johnson, Angus Young, Cliff Williams, Phil Rudd, and Stevie Young (who officially took the place of his uncle Malcolm when he passed away in 2017).

AC/DC confirmed the lineup on social media along with the hashtag #PWRUP, which is hinted to be the title of a new upcoming album by the band. The reunion is good news amidst the hardships the band faced before – where frontman Brian Johnson had to back out in the middle of a tour due to hearing problems, Axl Rose of Guns N’ Roses stepping in his place to continue touring commitments.

Moreover, Rudd was replaced by Chris Slade on the Rock or Bust Tour after he was found guilty of drug possession and death threats in 2015. Williams had also retired from the band in 2017.
