As for the house itself, it comes in with about 6,000 square feet of floor area with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Moreover, the main house sports cathedral ceilings, an open-plan layout, and oversized windows that allow the owner to appreciate the surrounding nature.

Moreover, it comes with a massive fireplace at the center of the living room with a wood-paneled library for moments of solace. The home also comes with a glass-walled solarium that offers an amazing view of the house while the kitchen features a large center island complete with stainless steel appliances and a wide counter space to work on.

As a musician’s abode, the property also has a custom recording studio with soundproofing, a guitar safe, and its unique fireplace. Adjoining is a separate log cabin-style building that acts as a guest apartment with its own entrance and bathroom.

The property sits on a dynamic natural backdrop complete with rolling hills and small ponds towered over by a majestic mountain. It is surrounded on three sides by state and national forests and is said to be ideal for hiking, horseback riding, [and] game watching with not another home or light in sight.”

Putting up the property for sale is Newsted’s most recent real estate activity, as he had already purchased a New York home for $6.1 million earlier this year – just shortly after selling his Northern California house in late 2019.

Jason Newsted was in Metallica for 15 years and played on records such as …And Justice for All, Metallica (Black Album), Load, and S&M. He eventually left the group in 2001.
