Eddie Van Halen’s Guitar Solo- Out Of This World Good

The Legend At Work
Eddie Van Halen shreds it like it’s nobody’s business! And if this won’t make you stand up in awe, I don’t know what will. It’s no surprise that he landed 8th in Rolling Stone magazine’s list of 100 Greatest Guitarist.
I mean, come on, did you see what he did? The fretwork is mind-blowing and impressive. That guitar really took quite a beating, lol.
In an interview in Guitar World magazine in July 1985, Van Halen states that his “brown sound” is “…basically a tone, a feeling that I’m always working at … It comes from the person. If the person doesn’t even know what that type of tone I’m talking about is, they can’t really work towards it, can they?”
Inasmuch as I want to play the way this Guitar God does, well, I can only hope. But hey at least we can always put this on repeat right? Although this is not the 80’s anymore, here is a clip of proof that Eddie can still rip and still has his signature sound. It’s musicians like this who are living legends.
