The Beach Boys join the fold of artists and bands who are in with the drive-in concert trend, announcing their schedule for three consecutive sets this fall.

The band will commence their tour in Southern California at the Ventura County Fairgrounds on October 23 and the Del Mar County Fairgrounds on the next day. Concluding the event will be a Phoenix, Arizona show on October 25 at the Arizona State Fairgrounds. These shows are part of the Concerts In Your Car series that feature other artists like Snoop Dogg and Slightly Stoopid.

It doesn’t end with the drive-in shows for the band, apparently, as they have several fall shows announced on their website as well. The trek will start on September 28 in Greenville, South Carolina.

The surviving members of the Beach Boys have been split into two competing camps, one being headed by Mike Love and the other by Brian Wilson as a result of the disaster that was their reunion tour in 2012, although both parties are hinting at a 60th anniversary reunion tour. In March, Al Jardine said, “Oh, it will happen. We’ll probably do about 20 or 30 [shows] together next year.”
