Metallica Releases 2019 Ireland Full Concert | I Love Classic Rock Videos

Metallica live in 2019 - Metallica / Youtube

Heavy metal icons Metallica pitched in their part in the social duty of staying indoors amidst the coronavirus spread by posting full concert videos regularly every week, in an event called #MetallicaMondays.

One of their first posted shows is from their concert at Meath, Ireland’s Slane Castle back in June. The band went into a 2 and a half-hour run for the show with over 18 songs for their setlist. This set included tracks like “Ride the Lightning”, “Enter Sandman”, “Sad But True” and a cover of Thin Lizzy’s “Whiskey in The Jar”.

These scheduled online concert streams will premiere every Monday at 8 PM ET on the band’s Youtube channel and Facebook page. In a statement, Metallica said: “While we’re all doing our part and staying home, we find ourselves missing live music, so how about we dive back into a few of our favorite shows at a socially responsible distance? Not to sound too cheesy, but now more than ever, we’re in this together, and staying connected is how we’ll get through it. With that in mind, we’re bringing a series of Live Metallica shows right to your couch!”
