The 60th Grammy Awards was a success and more than the glamorous outfits and mind-blowing performances, it was also a night of protests. Kesha ‘came back’ with a powerful and emotional #MeToo moment when she sang her single “Prayer” alongside other icons. Kendrick Lamar kicked off the evening with a politically-charged performance by collaborating with U2’s Bono and The Edge.
But the most unexpected cameo of all was from Hillary Clinton. We won’t spoil it for you but James Corden’s pre-taped fake audition started with:
“We know that our current president does love winning awards and the good news is he may just be the subject of next year’s winner [for Best Spoken Word Album]. The question I’ve got is, who’ll be the narrator?”
And of course, it got some pretty interesting reaction from the audience, the viewers and well, Twitter. It’s safe to say that not everyone was amused.
