Just in April, ex-Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters shared that he met with his former bandmates David Gilmour and Nick Mason, according to his interview with Rolling Stone. He highlighted that it wasn’t productive at all, saying, “I wrote out a sort of a plan because we’d come to something of a … I don’t really want to talk much about this. But the plan didn’t go through.”

He also emphasized that the plan didn’t entail any reunion tour discussions, saying, “This was just, ‘Can we release the remastered vinyl version of Animals without it turning into the third World War?’ Wouldn’t that be nice? I actually suggested we go democratic. I said, ‘Why don’t we have a vote? There’s only three of us. Then we can decide all those things like that and at least just go on with it.’ But they wouldn’t have that. God knows why.”

This might probably be one of the reasons why Animals isn’t going to see a reissue anytime soon, and if it did, it wouldn’t include any of the shows from their 1977 In The Flesh Tour. “We just hit a period where everyone was paranoid about bootleggers and we didn’t tape shows. It’s great we did the Pink Floyd at Pompeii thing, but I’m sorry we never filmed and recorded a Dark Side, Animals, or Wish You Were Here show, really,” Mason shared.

The closest thing to this is Roger Waters’ tour of the same name in 2000. He played an Animals segment every night, which only comprised the first side of the album. Watch the performance of the classic album’s first side in the video below.
