How often do you get to borrow something from your idol’s most valuable possessions? Watch Robert Plant play the King of Rock’s guitar during a photoshoot in a video presented below.

Led Zeppelin’s lead singer Robert Plant started playing Christopher Ameruoso’s custom-made guitar, which had a hand-painted portrait of Elvis Presley, while he was doing a photo shoot with the said photographer. Intricate renderings were created by Jason Orberly, an artist based in New York City. Even though we know it’s not every day that we see Robert jamming and relaxing like this, it’s still a beautiful spontaneous session to behold. Such an event was made possible for the tribute book “Shades of Elvis,” which features photos of over 75 celebrities – many of them famous musicians and actors – wearing Elvis’ famous gold shades. Many of the celebrities featured in “Shades of Elvis” will appear in the book’s behind-the-scenes photos.

It all started with Christopher Ameruoso’s idea for “Shades of Elvis.” Aside from his celebrity portraiture, Christopher is well-known for his ability to conceptualize and execute themed projects. Some of the rock artists included, aside from Plant, are Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Cooper, Sammy Hagar, Billy Gibbons, Eddie Van Halen, Elton John, Gene Simmons, and Willie Nelson.
