Back in 2019, the world blessed us with the legendary 1968 concert, The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus, which was a film that was previously unreleased from the vault. It was directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg, who would go on and direct The Beatles’ Let It Be documentary. The project was spearheaded by Mick Jagger, who wanted to do a TV special with the idea of a small traveling circus.

But the Stones weren’t the only gems that shone on the film. Inside we could see a handful of stars, ranging from Marianne Faithfull, Jethro Tull, The Who, and Taj Mahal. John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Eric Clapton, and Mitch Mitchell were also present, forming the one-shot supergroup named Dirty Mac, along with Stones’ guitarist Keith Richards.

Behind-the-scenes footage of the supergroup Dirty Mac has recently been unearthed and was restored in full HD. The video shows the quirky side of the band and defied the rumors of The Beatles – Rolling Stones rivalry. In the outtakes, the band rehearsed and performed “Yer Blues,” Lennon’s composition from the Beatles, and “Whole Lotta Yoko.” Ono joined the band in the latter track.
