Artists’ collaboration is the lifeblood of the music industry, and combining two legends to do that bidding for you would be mesmerizing to watch. That’s exactly what happened when rock icon Linda Ronstadt joined country icon Glen Campbell for a performance that’ll go down in music history.

Quite often, Glen Campbell invites guests that are often outsiders in the world of country music. So, when Linda Ronstadt performed onstage of The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour on CBS television, the singer felt at home lovingly in the comforting arms of the country genre.

But, that’s not to say that Ronstadt’s vocal prowess isn’t good enough for it. If you must remember, Ronstadt’s a part of the trinity consisted of Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris, which bore albums and an everlasting friendship between the trio. Onstage, Ronstadt’s just like that, still fascinating the audience with her charm and vocal skill.

Ronstadt first took the stage alone as she sang “Long, Long Time,” a single from her Silk Purse album. The sweet, country-flavored tune was dreamy to be heard, and Ronstadt’s elegance isn’t too tantalizing. After that solo moment, Campbell praised her and brought an acoustic to sing a duet of James Taylor’s “Carolina in My Mind.” The blending voices sure were angelic and could give you a taste of a good feeling.
