KISS is giving fans a taste of what’s to come with the release of KISS – Off The Soundboard: Poughkeepsie, New York, 1984 by releasing an unreleased live soundboard version of “Creatures Of The Night.”
The project, which is scheduled for release on April 7, records a rare performance by the group’s short-lived lineup, which included Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Eric Carr, and guitarist Mark St. John, during the band’s Animalize World Tour in November 1984 at the Mid-Hudson Arena. St. John, who had reactive arthritis and was unable to perform for all but two and a half gigs on the tour, made his first complete live appearance at the event; he died of a cerebral hemorrhage at age 51 in 2007.
In addition to the CD, 2LP, digital, and streaming packages, the official KISS online shop will sell a limited edition 2LP set made on 180-gram custard yellow vinyl of Off The Soundboard: Poughkeepsie, New York, 1984. In April, KISS will restart their farewell concert tour with a string of shows in South America called the End Of The Road.
