Gus G Spills The Beans…

It’s been quite some time since guitarist Gus G was let go from Ozzy Osbourne’s band. Zakk Wylde recently reunited with Ozzy and they will embark on what is being called their farewell tour. Gus had recently stated that he had no hard feelings towards Ozzy for his departure, and it seems as if that is still the case. However this time around, Gus went into more detail about how he really feels about his departure.

In a recent interview with TrueMetal.it, Gus G says…

“Honestly, it was a little bit of a relief, because I was just kind of tired of waiting around for all these years, not hearing anything. Of course, he was very busy with Black Sabbath, I understand that, but … in between all of that there were these one-off shows popping up, and I had to make myself available for all that, but there was never any … I didn’t see stuff coming up for the future, you know?”

“In a way, it was a little bit of a dead end for me, speaking personally. Of course, now he’s gonna go on a big tour again, do his farewell thing and … that’s great for him, but it wasn’t a creative thing for me.”

In my humble opinion, it’s truly unfortunate that Gus G kinda had to put his life on hole to be in Ozzy’s band, but nevertheless we can all agree that he did a great job as guitarist in his band and his will be missed!
