Amidst the social isolation brought by the coronavirus pandemic, there’s no stopping Joan Jett & The Blackhearts from dabbling with rock n’ roll. It even led to the band re-recording their 1986 song, “Light Of Day”. This song was penned by Bruce Springsteen and originally featured on the film of the same name, Jett playing a role in the film as well. The band members recorded each of their parts in their own homes and put it together for a fresh take on the classic hit, which was aired earlier this week on MNSBC’s Morning Joe and has been uploaded on YouTube for everyone to see.

Due to the current pandemic situation, Joan Jett & The Blackheart’s The Stadium Tour with Motley Crue, Whitesnake, Def Leppard, and Poison will most likely be hit with postponements, despite still being scheduled to start on the 18th of June, in Jacksonville, Florida.

Just last month, Jett did her part to call for international solidarity through a social media post, saying, “Let’s all take the advice so we can protect each other &get back to doing what we [love] — playing rocknroll for you. Even if it hasn’t hit your community yet, this is real &we all must take it seriously. Can’t wait to see you all once we #BeatTheVirus.”
