Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton Perform ‘Stairway to Heaven’ – You Read That Right

Jimmy Page’s life post-Led Zeppelin was quite minimal; he didn’t know what to do after Bonham’s death, and they most certainly weren’t going to replace him to proceed. Therefore, Page’s work was right next to nothing— until the ARMS benefit concert against multiple sclerosis back in 1983 gave him a leeway to reemerge as the legendary rock star that he is.

Page delivered the instrumental for “Stairway to Heaven”, on the right pacing. Like it’s best to say that this wasn’t the best that he did when performing this classic LZ song, you can’t blame him fresh from the break-up of the band. Together with Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton at the narrow end, they recreated the song with so much passion and flair, something that we can all expect from the trio.

It was a mini-reunion of the former Yardbirds bandmates, playing the song that made Led Zeppelin so famous throughout the years.
