Hometown Tribute Show For Neil Peart Announced

A tribute to Rush’s late drummer, Neil Peart, is set to take place in his former Canadian hometown in spring.

Scheduled on May 16th at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines, Ontario, “A Night For Neil” is being orchestrated in cooperation with the Peart Family, charity organization Overtime Angels, Inc., and the City of St. Catharines.

Overtime Angels executives contacted the agent/producer of event entertainment agency Booking House Inc., George Roche, to produce the tribute event and take care of enlisting production professionals, top musicians, and guest speakers to honor Neil Peart’s life and career. The said artist lineup will be revealed at a later date.

Overtime Angels’ Vice President Lance Kasten said, “The event will honor ‘The Professor’ of words, lyricism, and musicianship from a fan’s perspective. The outpouring of support for this event from across the globe is tremendous.”

Neil’s parents, Glen and Betty Peart, also said, “We are grateful for the team that Overtime Angels is assembling. We are especially pleased to be able to support this charity event that will benefit some much-needed organizations that are close to our hearts.”
