Frank Sinatra invited Elvis Presley to guest on the former’s television show just as the latter returned from his military service in West Germany. The two did a duet of both of their own hits in a swing-time medley – “Witchcraft” and “Love Me Tender”.

The said duet happened on March 26, 1960, where Elvis joined Sinatra on stage at the Fontainbleau Hotel in Florida for the filming of The Frank Sinatra Timex Show: Welcome Home Elvis TV special. This became Elvis’ first appearance on TV in over three years, where he was nervous about how the crowd would receive him.

But he did well, apparently, matching the confidence and poise of The Voice, eager to show that his own title, The King, was befitting of him. The two showed excellent on-screen chemistry with their matching shrugs and communicative expressions, showing their delight that they got to perform on the same stage together.
