As part of the marketing for Mötley Crüe’s highly-anticipated biopic ‘The Dirt’ being released, the band headed back into the studio to record two new tracks to go along with the film. The first one was a song released a few weeks ago actually called “The Dirt”, the official theme song for the film. The other is a cover of Madonna’s hit song “Like A Virgin”, which you’re about to hear.
We’re not exactly sure why this song was chosen to be covered by the band, but we do know that it does have some direct correlation to the film.
Well, either way, if you are one of those people that ever wondered what it’d sound like if Mötley Crüe ever covered a song by Madonna, then you’re in luck, I guess. What we have below is their cover of her hit song “Like A Virgin”.
This song definitely has that signature Mötley Crüe rocky twang to it, but also stays somewhat true to the original, not that I would be an expert on what Madonna’s songs sound like, so just correct me if I’m wrong. Check it out.
‘The Dirt’ premieres exclusively on Netflix on March 22nd. The film has a stacked cast with Iwan Rheon as Mick Mars, Douglass Booth as Nikki Sixx, Daniel Webber as Vince Neil, and Machine Gun Kelly as Tommy Lee.
