Dolly Parton, who is hailed for her work in country music, made headlines when she opted to transition into rock stardom after being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Despite skepticism, Parton is committed to her new venture and is doing everything in her power to make it a success. The singer recently confirmed her dedication to this new phase of her career by discussing her ambitions to work with Mick Jagger on her upcoming album, Rock Star, during her recent conversation with The View.

“Well, I’m doing my best to try and get him on [Rock Star],” Parton said. “But I did his song anyway. I think Pink and Brandi Carlile are gonna be singing on that particular song [the Stones’ ‘Satisfaction’] with me.”

Moreover, she also revealed that the unexpected collaboration with rock legend Stevie Nicks has happened already. “Stevie Nicks… we just finished our song last night,” the country singer added.

It seems like Parton was truly going all the way to deliver one of the best rock albums that a country singer could do by collaborating with several other rock legends apart from Nicks and Jagger (eventually). We have Perry, Steven Tyler, John Fogerty, Cher, and even Sir Paul McCartney himself. Talk about an all-star lineup!

Anticipation for Parton’s next Rock Star album is strong since it will have a different musical direction than her signature country. Supporters are eager to hear how Dolly’s signature style blends with the rock and roll genre, in addition to her work with some of the top stars in music.
