It seems like talent runs in the blood with Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine’s family, as their rendition of the Beatles classic “Come Together” has just surfaced online. Mustaine was joined by his daughter Electra for this performance.

The said cover is a part of the Alzheimer’s Association’s Music moments campaign, where the young Mustaine took her time to address the current health crisis, giving her input on how to prevent the contraction of the coronavirus strain COVID-19. In her caption, Electra wrote on her Instagram post: “Here’s a lil’ #MyMusicMoment with my dad, @davemustaine, someone who I’d never want to lose! That is why the Mustaines stay home. We hope you do too! Wash your hands, practice social distancing and stay healthy.”

Electra did the vocal work for the cover, while Dave did the ax duties while wearing a protective face mask. Electra has already forged a path for her very own music career as well, earning a spot in the 2014 solo album of Stryper frontman Michael Sweet.

The Music Moments campaign by the Alzheimer’s Association is dedicated to raising awareness of the disease. The campaign aims to highlight the connection between music and memory to serve as a tool for reaching out. The said movement also encourages people to share their own covers and stories online with the hashtag #MyMusicMoment, like this Mustaine cover.
