Jersey Shore artist Bruce “The Boss” Springsteen has a new album in the works! Titled Western Stars, the album will be released by Columbia Records on the 14th of June, 2019.

This will be Springsteen’s 19th studio venture, and is composed of 13 all-original tracks, following suit on his 2012 album, Wrecking Ball. Springsteen describes the LP as “a return to my solo recordings featuring character-driven songs and sweeping, cinematic orchestral arrangements. It’s a jewel box of a record.”

The album also drew inspiration from the Southern California pop records of the 70’s. Springsteen is known for his poeticism and sentimentality in his previous works, as he describes this album’s theme as “range of American themes, of highways and desert spaces, of isolation and community and the permanence of home and hope.

” I wrote most of it before Wrecking Ball, and I stopped making that record to make Wrecking Ball, and then I went back to it,”  Springsteen revealed in 2017 with an interview with VarietyHe paid homage to those who served as influences to the record, namely “Glen Campbell, Jimmy Webb, Burt Bacharach, those kinds of records. I don’t know if people will hear those influences, but that was what I had in my mind. It gave me something to hook an album around; it gave me some inspiration to write. It’s connected to my solo records writing-wise, more Tunnel of Love and Devils and Dust, but it’s not like them at all. Just different characters living their lives.”

The album is produced by the renowned multi-instrumentalist and producer, Rob Aniello, and was recorded at Springsteen’s own home studio in New Jersey. The album also features guest appearances of David Sancious, Patti Scialfa, Soozie Tyrell, and Charlie Giordano, among other musicians.

Springsteen has already release a single from the album, “Hello Sunshine“, in April 26th. Take a listen to what The Boss is offering this time!
