A YouTuber recently stumbled upon an unexpected and chilling discovery: a serial killer’s record collection. What was meant to be a regular haul of vintage albums took a dark turn when it was revealed who previously owned them.

Dylan, a YouTuber and host of a popular channel, bought the collection a couple of years ago but kept quiet about its unsettling origin. It wasn’t until late October that he felt compelled to share the story with his viewers.

The collection, bought from a North Carolina store called Noble Records, contained only one metal album, adding an eerie twist to the otherwise ordinary assortment of records. Dylan’s video recounts his discovery and the disturbing details surrounding it.

The Serial Killer Behind the Record Collection

The killer behind the haunting record collection is Scott Williams, from Monroe, North Carolina. This small town also happens to be Dylan’s hometown, adding a chilling connection to the discovery.

Williams was convicted for the murders of three women over a nine-year period. His victims were Sharon House Pressley (37) in 1997, Christina Outz Parker (34) in 2004, and Sharon Tucker Stone (46) in 2006.

All three women met a brutal end, each shot in the head and dismembered. These grisly details give a dark context to the records Dylan stumbled upon.

Scott Williams’ Arrest and Conviction

Williams, who worked for the North Carolina Department of Transportation, was only arrested after his connection to Sharon Tucker Stone was uncovered. He was found to be an acquaintance of Stone, a discovery that ultimately led to his capture.

Further investigation revealed that Williams also knew the other victims, Sharon House Pressley and Christina Outz Parker. This connection helped authorities link him to all three murders.

In 2008, Williams was convicted on three counts of first-degree murder, as well as kidnapping, rape, and sexual offenses related to two other women who survived. He is serving multiple life sentences without parole at the Alexander Correctional Institution in Taylorsville, North Carolina.

A Surprisingly Ordinary Collection

Dylan had expected to find albums from heavy, eccentric bands like Slayer or Danzig in the serial killer’s collection. However, he was disappointed to discover that wasn’t the case.

Instead, the collection was filled with records from artists like Barbra Streisand, The Carpenters, and Johnny Cash. Dylan expressed his surprise, remarking that the set was “just so normal.”

The oddest part, according to Dylan, was the presence of six copies of Michael Jackson’s Thriller. This strange detail stood out amidst the otherwise conventional collection.

A Lackluster Metal Find

Dylan found only one metal record in the collection: an Exciter album, which he described as unremarkable. He noted that it was nothing special, even for a metal record.

He further explained that most of the albums in the collection were just everyday finds, lacking any rarity or uniqueness. “Nothing rare, nothing cool,” Dylan remarked, expressing his disappointment.

The only album Dylan decided to keep for himself was by Mama Lion, a short-lived ’70s band. He considered it the coolest of the bunch, which led him to hang on to it. Watch the full video below:
