Despite their love-hate relationship that was captured by the media, Keith Richards and Mick Jagger just make sense when they are together. That is to say, when they have their good days, they seem to work well together and no shed of detestation would come out.

As a testament to their “good days,” MTV’s Undercovered got the two to sit together on one sofa to speak about their then-current project, “Undercover Of The Night,” released under their band, The Rolling Stones. The two chatted with the host, J.J. Jackson, along with director Julien Temple, who directed the music video for the aforementioned song.

On October 1983, the Stones’ members opened up about their process of recording the album, as well as how they wrote the song in specifics. In the 30-minute interview, the two, are seemingly relaxed, and would sometimes make jokes for light-hearted entertainment.

Rolling Stones’ album Undercover, was the album that marked the end of the band’s long and impressive streak of no. 1 albums. It wasn’t that the album was bad, but that it didn’t truly capture the Stones’ greatness, which was evident from its predecessors. And despite the rumors that the riff between Richards and Jagger was at its peak during this time, the interview seemed to have said otherwise.
