Watch Brian Johnson Pre-AC/DC Era In Live on Pop ’75 | I Love Classic Rock Videos

Brian Johnson may have established himself as an official member of AC/DC, but back in the 70s, he was the frontman of a group called Geordie and sings the total opposite of everything he does in the AC/DC: disco and glam pop.

With his white scarf, flare pants, and a raving vibe fit for the dance floor, no one would ever imagine that Johnson could change his style to fit in the mood as a hard rocker inside the famed group. Johnson’s pre-AC/DC band Geordie was invited to perform their song “Goodbye Love” on “Pop ’75”, a music program that aired in West Germany during the 70s.

The young Johnson harnessed his skills as a singer to reach the high notes of the song, while still enjoying the whole performance. There’s a good reason why Bon Scott wanted him to fulfill the lead vocal obligations of AC/DC: he quivers with pure talent.
