The Black Crowes Release New Single “Wanting and Waiting”

The Black Crowes are currently streaming the lead single, “Wanting And Waiting,” from their upcoming album, “Happiness Bastards,” set to be released on March 15. Produced by Jay Joyce, the album features the collaborative efforts of singer Chris Robinson, guitarist Rich Robinson, and long-time bassist Sven Pipien, marking their return since 2009’s “Before The Frost… Until The Freeze.”
In describing the album
Chris Robinson expressed,
“‘Happiness Bastards’ is our love letter to rock ‘n’ roll. Rich and I are always immersed in the world of music, consistently writing and creating; it’s where we find harmony together. This record is a testament to that ongoing journey.”
Rich Robinson echoed this sentiment, stating,
“This album is a continuation of our band’s story. It encapsulates our years of experience in writing, making music, and touring the world. Working with the highly esteemed producer Jay Joyce was a brilliant experience, and I am incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished.”

Containing 10 tracks, the album features a guest appearance by Grammy-nominated country singer and songwriter Lainey Wilson.
Wilson gained prominence after her music was featured on the television drama “Yellowstone” and was named the 2023 CMA Entertainer Of The Year.
Since their reunion in 2019, The Black Crowes have embarked on a successful global tour, performing over 150 shows across 20 countries. Additionally, they celebrated the 30th anniversaries of their debut album, “Shake Your Money Maker” (1990), and “The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion” (1992).
To mark the album’s release, the band is scheduled to perform two shows in Las Vegas in early February.
