A harmonious echo of the past resonated through Paris Fashion Week on March 4th, as legendary Beatles Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr reunited.
But this wasn’t your typical musical performance. Instead, the iconic duo joined forces to celebrate the unveiling of an eco-conscious women’s clothing line designed by none other than Paul’s visionary daughter, Stella McCartney.
This Parisian soirée transcended the realm of fashion, weaving together a tapestry of musical brilliance, environmental consciousness, and the enduring legacy of the McCartney family.

A star-studded front row
The front row at Stella’s Paris Fashion Week show was a sight to behold. Paul and Ringo sat proudly flanking Paris Jackson, daughter of the late Michael Jackson.
Joining them were their wives, Nancy Shevell and Barbara Bach, adding to the star power.
The guest list didn’t stop there. According to People and other sources, other celebrities in attendance included Stella’s siblings, Mary and James McCartney, Spice Girl Melanie C, fashion icon Anna Wintour, rapper M.I.A., and actresses Charlotte Rampling, Jameela Jamil, and Naomie Harris.
Paul and Ringo having a great time
Mary McCartney also shared a fun video on social media capturing the spirit of Fashion Week.
She asks attendees, including her dad Paul and Ringo Starr, “What’s your favorite animal?” Their playful answers, like Paul’s love for horses and Ringo’s joke about “vicious tigers”, add a lighthearted touch to the glamorous event.
The video shows the fun and personal side of Fashion Week, going beyond the glitz and glam to capture the unique personalities and lighthearted moments that make it special.

Collaborations and partnerships
McCartney and Starr have joined forces on several projects recently. In August 2023, they both contributed to Dolly Parton’s cover of “Let It Be”.
McCartney played piano and Starr took over the drums for this new rendition of the iconic Beatles song. The track was also included on Parton’s album Rockstar released in November 2023.
And, much more recently, in October 2023, Starr’s EP Rewind Forward featured a song written by McCartney titled “Feeling the Sunlight”. McCartney also lent his talents to the track by playing bass and singing backing vocals.

The Beatles’ final song
The year 2023 also saw the remarkable release of a new Beatles song, “Now and Then”. This long-awaited track originated from a demo recorded by John Lennon in the late 1970s.
In the 1990s, the remaining Beatles, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and the late George Harrison, attempted to work on the song but left it unfinished.
Modern technology finally made it possible to complete “Now and Then”. Using advanced audio techniques, engineers were able to isolate Lennon’s vocals from the original demo.
With this crucial piece in place, McCartney and Starr added new vocals and instruments, finally bringing the song to life after decades.
