Steely Dan is back to stream audio of their timeless hit, “Reelin’ In the Years,” as a preview to their upcoming set Northeast Corridor: Steely Dan Live!

This second single was released from their 1972 album Can’t Buy A Thrill. It was written by both Donald Fagen and Walter Becker with the former filling the lead vocal duties. It reached the no. 11 spot in the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Moreover, its iconic guitar solo was recorded only in one take. Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page once claimed it to be his “favorite solo of all time.”

Northeast Corridor will be available on September 24 in multiple formats: CDs and digital. Its 180-gram vinyl package will follow on October 1.
