Ronnie James Dio’s Hologram Is Once Again Under Fire – But Wendy Dio Is NOT Having It

Here We Go Again…

The topic of Ronnie James Dio’s hologram has been a controversial since it was first announced back in 2016. Fans are split right down the middle when it comes to the whether or not a hologram is what Ronnie would’ve wanted. Nevertheless, Ronnie’s wife Wendy went full-steam-ahead with the idea and got as far as putting together a world tour. Unfortunately, just a few dates in, Wendy had stated that it was ‘back to the drawing board’.

Wendy Dio has constantly been under fire for fully pursuing this project and has constantly had to clap back at naysayers. This time around is certainly no different. In a recent interview with Whiplash, Wendy talked about those who are highly critical about the hologram. Here is some of what she had to say in response…

“I think the people that say, ‘Ooh, this is terrible,’ should at least see it. Don’t criticize it if you haven’t seen it. It’s done with love. The band love doing it. And we just wanna keep Ronnie’s memory and his music alive.

“We’re doing a new hologram now, and we’re hoping to come to America in 2019 with that.”

Clearly, Wendy will not stop pursuing this project anytime soon. Either way, wherever you stand, we should wish her all the best as she takes on this huge responsibility of honoring her late husband in such a monumental way.
