Sir Rod Stewart gave joy as he sang “You’re in My Heart (The Final Acclaim),” in a video addressed to a fan who’s battling cancer.

The video which was uploaded on Twitter by @GoodNewsCorres1 shows a split-type with Stewart singing a snippet of this 1977 classic. The Twitter caption says: “Sir Rod Stewart sings to Gary, a fan whose loving niece Jenna did everything to get through to the British star…all for her uncle with brain cancer. We had the honor of connecting with Rod’s family who immediately told us ‘consider it done’ @rodstewart.”

Inside the clip, Stewart opened with a short message before singing the song. “Gary, this is Rod Stewart here, all the way from London, England, where it’s freezing cold. I hear you’re in not-good health at the moment, and I also hear you’re also a great fan of mine, so I’d like to do this little song for you.” After singing its familiar tune, Stewart blew a kiss and greeted his fan “Merry Christmas.”

Albeit the difficulty in speaking, he replied “wow” and “brilliant” and also gave a thumbs-up mark to show he’s impressed. Watch the video below.
