Look alive, Robert Plant fans! Plant and singer Alison Krauss are back and have released “High and Lonesome,” a track from their upcoming album Raise the Roof.

The song boasts to be the only original song from the album and it follows the 2007 Grammy-award winning collaborative album of the two named Raising Sand. Although the album has a 14-year gap in between, Plant merely sees it as nothing but a strength to the artists:

“We were ready to do something new, and we knew how good it was before, so we can just join up again and see where we go. We’ve got nothing to lose.”

Seeing it also as an advantage, he reflected how his rock upbringings and Krauss’s country ones add up to their strength as a duo performer. “That’s the great thing about me and Alison – we’re ably supported by a world of beautiful music that one of other of us doesn’t know too much about.”

Plant said that although he conquered the American music for some time now, he still believed that there are genres (such as country music) that he’s yet to learn more.

Raise the Roof will be released mid-November and a follow-up tour to support the LP will likely happen next year.
