It looks like Motley Crue’s bassist Nikki Sixx is putting his social media reach to good use. In an Instagram post, he shared an insight if he hadn’t stopped with substance abuse, particularly alcohol. Sixx, who was a known junkie during the active years of Motley Crue, has been clean and sober for years now. He reached out to fans to issue a warning to those who would attempt, or are currently in the dregs of addiction.
“I can’t imagine my life if I was still a practicing alcoholic. It’s a guaranteed death sentence or crawling through life with spiritual, financial and emotional bankruptcy.
Rock n Roll doesn’t need to be shrouded in addiction. We know better now. #WakeUp.”

The band has been relevant in the recent months due to their biopic, The Dirt. Data shows a rise in the band’s streaming and search engine figures, while album sales also rose to epic proportions as well.
