Exploring the Complex Dynamics of a Potential Reunion
Mason touched upon the subtle interactions within the group, revealing that the possibility of reuniting with David Gilmour and Roger Waters might be slim. He disclosed that although Roger Waters had joined him on stage previously, any similar future occurrences seem uncertain. Mason’s reflection on this matter was clear,
“Not really but I think heโs certainly in communication with Guy [Pratt] on it and certainly itโs not disapproval. That would be very it would be great if heโd come on and do something but I think after Roger did it he probably felt that he didnโt want to follow on.โ
The conversation proceeded to address whether fans could expect to see Mason, Waters, and Gilmour together again. Masonโs response underscored the unpredictability of such an event:
โI would have thought unlikely and thatโs part of the reason why eventually gave up saying unlikely but maybe into unlikely but Iโll go out on my own anyway.โ

โ[Waters] actually sent me a copy of what he was working on and I write to him and said, โAnnoyingly, itโs absolutely brilliant!โ It was and is. Itโs not anything that would be a spoiler for the original at all, itโs an interesting add-on to the thing.โ This exchange not only shows a continued connection between the former band members but also Masonโs genuine appreciation for Watersโ artistic endeavors, even outside the original group setup.
Balancing Realism With Hope
Masonโs sentiments about the possibilities of reuniting were mixed with a realistic perspective but also a hint of hopeful flexibility,
โYou never know what will be thrown up. Iโm tempted to say Iโm available for anything.โ
