Mick Fleetwood has been busy with Grammy events, but lately, he’s been soaking up island life at his Maui home. The legendary Fleetwood Mac drummer recently shared a heartwarming—and slightly unexpected—Valentine’s Day tribute to his longtime companion, his pet pig, Tilly.

In a video posted on social media, Fleetwood, 77, strums a ukulele while sitting in his spacious yard. Nearby, Tilly happily munches on grass, oblivious to the serenade. The scene is set with a large Buddha statue, a flamingo plush toy playing Jackie Wilson’s “(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher,” and a heart-shaped balloon.

“Happy Valentine’s, Tilly. Tilly’s my secret Valentine,” Fleetwood says before breaking into a bluesy tune. “This one’s about my love for Tilly. Come on, girl, you can do it. Enjoy life. Eat up.”

When he finishes, he signs off with a kiss and a peace sign, adding:

“Happy Valentine’s, girl. Happy Valentine’s, out there.”

He captioned the post:

“Happy Valentine’s Day to my true love, Tilly. [T]his will be her 18th Valentine’s, so I wanted to make it special!! Cheers and happy [Valentine’s Day] to everyone out there. xx, Mick Fleetwood.”

New Music in the Works

Fleetwood also surprised fans with an update about a new project. On February 15, he posted a hilarious throwback photo of himself dressed in drag—an image from the cover of Fleetwood Mac’s 1968 compilation album English Rose. He wrote:

“Woke up this morning and felt like an English Rose!!!
“An old Fleetwood Mac album and cover.”

But the real excitement came with his next line:

“And this morning excited to be working in the studio on my solo album.”

His last solo studio release was Something Big in 2004 with The Mick Fleetwood Band. More recently, in 2024, he teamed up with Hawaiian ukulele master Jake Shimabukuro for a blues album called Blues Experience.

Jamming at Grammy Events

Even before Valentine’s Day, Fleetwood was keeping busy with some high-profile performances leading up to the 2025 Grammy Awards.

On January 31, he played at the MusiCares Person of the Year gala, which honored the Grateful Dead. Sharing the stage with fellow drumming legend Stewart Copeland of The Police, he joined The War and Treaty for a powerful take on the Dead’s “Samson and Delilah.”

Just a couple of days later, on February 2, Fleetwood made another appearance—this time at Steven Tyler’s Grammy Viewing Party. The benefit event, supporting Tyler’s Janie’s Fund charity, saw Fleetwood on percussion alongside Tyler and Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt as they performed a heartfelt rendition of Extreme’s “More Than Words.”

From blues collaborations to Valentine’s serenades, Mick Fleetwood proves he’s still got rhythm—whether he’s playing for thousands or just one special pig.
