John Prine Positive For COVID-19 – In Critical Condition

John Prine is currently in critical condition after being hit with the COVID-19 virus.

On his Twitter account, his family updated fans and followers on his behalf. Prine’s family wrote: “After a sudden onset of Covid-19 symptoms, John was hospitalized on Thursday (3/26). He was intubated Saturday evening, and continues to receive care, but his situation is critical. This is hard news for us to share. But so many of you have loved and supported John over the years, we wanted to let you know, and give you the chance to send on more of that love and support now. And know that we love you, and John loves you.”

Prine has already survived to bouts of cancer diagnoses, with the first one being in 1997 and the second onset in 2013. Sprouting from his Chicago suburbs, John Prine slowly joined the ranks of prominent folk artists and has been the subject of acclaim for icons like Bob Dylan and John Mellencamp.
