“Stop Living In The Past”

Though Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and Jason Bonham have all shot down the prospect of a Led Zeppelin reunion more times than any of us can count, fans are still hoping and praying for even the slightest chance of one happening, myself included. The band pulled it off in 2007 resulting in one of the best comeback concerts of all time taking place in London. If nothing else, that concert showed us that it was more than possible, but alas we shouldn’t get our hopes up. Robert Plant has just told us why.

In an interview with Classic Rock Magazine, Robert Plant addressed the possibility of another Led Zeppelin reunion. Here is what he had to say.

“It shows you that people have nothing else to write about, obviously. And that’s kind of sad. All these magazines and internet platforms should be supporting new music and help new musicians to find an audience, instead of dwelling on the old crap all the time. It’s like there is nothing new and exciting out there any more, when in fact there is. So stop living in the past. Open your ears and your eyes. It’s not that difficult, is it? It is kind of funny, I have to admit. But, hey, there’s better ways to entertain yourself, believe me.”

Not only does it sound as if Robert is shooting the current persisting reunion rumors, but also the possibility of a reunion EVER happening, again. Unfortunately, that is the sentiment, for now, but as you know stranger things have happened in the world of rock & roll. We’ve seen Ace Frehley on stage with Gene Simmons in 2017, we’ve see Guns N’ Roses reunite, we’ve pretty much seen it all, so who knows what could still happen?
