Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters just shared insider info regarding the status of the band’s upcoming album.

The band has been toiling in the studio since October 2019 for a follow-up album to 2017’s Concrete And Gold. In a guest apperance at the Bill Simmons podcast, Grohl said, “We just finished making a record. Some of those songs, the best ones happen in 45 minutes. Then there’s other songs – there’s a riff on the new record I’ve been working on for 25 years. The first time I demoed it was in my basement in Seattle.”

Concrete and Gold is the band’s 9th album and debuted at the US Billboard 200 upon release. The album was co-produced with Greg Kurstin and mixed by Darrel Thorp. One of the songs, “Run”, garnered the band a Grammy award in 2018 for the songwriter’s award “Best Rock Song Category”.

Foo Fighters will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in April 2020 at the Something In The Water Festival at Virginia Beach, Virginia.
